The present study describes the synthesis and characterization of a mononuclear palladacycle complex including 1,3-Bis(diphenylphosphino)propane. The spectroscopic data suggested that phosphine ligand (dppp) exhibited a chelating P,P-coordination mode to the metal center affording a six-membered chelate ring which was confirmed by a single crystal X-ray structural analysis.
